Anniversary Traditions

It's my anniversary this week and my sweet husband sent me the most enormous lilies you've ever seen. I didn't realize it, but they're the traditional flower for this particular anniversary. It also turns out my lovely new wedding ring setting (bling bling!) is of the traditional metal for this year.

Of course there are creative takes on the traditional themes, too. For my parents' Ruby Anniversary (40th) a while back, my siblings and I gave them gift certificates to Ruby Tuesday restaurant, Ruby River steakhouse, and Ruby's Inn -- a fantastic getaway in Southern Utah.
